Personality

The events that led up to Storm's capture all but stripped him of his formerly friendly personality, turning him into a hollowed out mockery of his former self. His hatred of Hunters manifests in antagonizing them both in the arena and in the cages; his fighting style is bold and borderline reckless in attempts to kill any Hunter he's thrown up against. And down in the cages where light almost never shines, he riles up his guards with caustic barbs. If he can get them to leave smaller and younger cats alone by taking up all of their focus... well, all the better.

Cynical: "Uh huh. What do you actually want?"

Storm's trusting nature has all been beaten out of him, and he's learned that it's best to expect the worst at all times. On the bright side, he's never surprised by the depravity he sees on a daily basis. However, it has come at great cost. In an attempt to protect what's left of himself, he has almost completely cut himself off emotionally.

Withdrawn: "Mmmm."

When his grief-driven anger burns out, Storm is just... tired. Lack of decent water and food have taken a massive toll on him, stunting his growth and largely extinguishing his spark. He spends much of his time sleeping, or just laying silently in the back of his cage. Sometimes observing, other times staring at nothing. The Hunters may have captured his body and withered his soul, but his mind is the last sanctuary left to him. 

Protective: "Stay behind me."

Even though Storm believes his sister is dead, he is still a big brother at heart. In all aspects of his life as a prisoner he strives to keep younger and weaker cats safe; it is at these times when his true self shines through. When put in an arena with another captured cat and a hunter, he'll do his best to defend his fellow inmate. Especially if they've been intentionally over-matched.

Gentle: "You alright kid?"

Storm's softness with younger captured cats is a stark contrast to his harshness towards his captors. He has a weakness for cubs, although he will never admit it. 

History
Storm, along with his sister Skye, were born in the wild to a feral lynx named Sita. Once the the siblings were a couple weeks old, they lived constantly on the move due to their mother's fear of discovery and recapture. Roughly six months later, Their mother's fears were realized.
One morning when Sita was teaching Storm to catch prey, they were found and attacked by the very caravan guard who had sired the siblings. Storm watched helplessly from a tree while his mother fought to save his life. Once she lay dying in the snow, the guard captured his terrified son and hauled him off to the city. Too wild to be tamed, Storm was thrown into the pits and became a coliseum fighter.
At the time of his capture, Storm took his mother's cue and said nothing about his sister Skye in order to save her from sharing in his fate. He believes she died alone from starvation and has no idea that she's alive in the Empires.  

Life in the arena has been very hard on Storm, and he almost lost his will to live. But the recent influx of new cats has brought whispers of the free Empires outside the walls of Massilia, and have given him some hope of a new life...
